I am Light

I am light.

I am love.

I am light and light is all around me.

I am love and love is all around me.

I am compassion and compassion is all around me.

I am kindness and kindness is all around me.

I am beauty and beauty is all around me.

I am light.

I am light and I offer my light to the world.

I am light and I offer my full contribution.

I am a radiant being of light.

Deep inside of each one of us is our spirit, our best self, our enlightened self. Deep inside each one of us is a spark of divinity. We are here on this earth learning to actualize our spirit. Learning to actualize our best selves. Learning to actualize our divinity.

Our personalities are evolving. We are learning and growing. We make mistakes. And yet there is this place of wholeness with in us. A place that is untouched by all that has transpired in this lifetime, a place of certainty, of wisdom, of never ending compassion. I would like to share a guided meditation now to assist you in connecting to your spirit, assist you in connecting to your wisdom, your power, your beauty and your strength. I would like to do a meditation now to assist you in connecting to the light that resides within.

Guided Meditation:

I would like to begin by imaging a pillar of light. Imagine this pillar of light starting at the top of your head, traveling down your spinal column, down your legs and out your feet. This is the light of your spirit, your best self, your enlightened self. Your spirit is wise and your spirit is compassionate, confident and strong. Feel the strength of your spirit. Feel the confidence of your spirit. Feel the wisdom of your spirit. Feel the compassion that resides deep within you and feel the light that resides within.

Affirm:

I am light.

Feel this light deep within you and remember who you are. You are a being of light. You have come to be of service, you have come to learn, to grow, to enjoy. You have come to share your light with the world.

Affirm now:

I am light.

See the light with in you growing brighter and brighter now. Allow this light to fill every cell of your body, every cell of your body becoming illumined with the light of your spirit. Feel your body filling with light, every cell filling with light.

I am light.

Allow this light to expand and fill your mind now. Your thoughts are becoming uplifted, positive, creative and infinitely wise. Any limited thoughts or attitudes are dissolving in the light of your spirit. You are becoming brighter and brighter, more and more illumined. Your mind is filled with the light of your spirit now. This light is awakening your brilliance, awakening your magnificence, awakening your creativity, awakening your wisdom, awakening the genius within.

I am light.

Feel this light filling your emotional body now. Your emotions are becoming balanced, positive, peaceful and serene. More and more light filling your entire body.

I am light.

Now allow this light to expand out beyond your body. Radiating out and filling the room you are sitting in.

Affirm:

I am a radiant being of light.

You are shining brighter and brighter now, your light becoming more and more radiant. Remember who you are.

You are a beacon of light. You have come to bring light and healing to the world. See yourself as a shining star.

The world needs your light. Offer your full contribution.

Remember who you are. Remember who you are. This is not a time to play small. This is a time to shine. Shine brightly now. Be a light a mist the darkness.

I am a radiant being of light.

Connect once again to the light within. Go deeper and deeper now and experience your light. You are a radiant being of light. You are spirit. You are the light of the world. You are divinity itself. Remember who you are. Remember who you are.

I am a radiant being of light.

Homework:

Take time this week to remember who you are. Work with this guided meditation and work with the affirmation: I am a radiant being of light. Repeat the affirmation often and embody it as you go through your day. Take a walk. What does it feel like to walk down the street remembering that you are a radiant being of light? How does your body feel as you embody this affirmation?

Speak with a friend. How do you speak when you hold this awareness? Do you speak up more? Are you quieter? Perhaps you are more discerning about when to speak and when to listen.

Be aware of how you respond to challenges during the week when you remember you are a being of light and that you have come to bring light to the world. Be open, be flexible and see where this affirmation leads you.

I am filled with confidence.

The throat chakra located in the throat area is the center for expression, confidence, power, truth, learning and self esteem.[1] It is most balanced when we understand that we are both human and learning and spirit and divine. We are human, we make mistakes, and we are learning. Our behavior is evolving. At the same time we are spirit. We each have a spark of divinity with in us. We have a place within us that is powerful, confident, strong and wise. When we learn to embrace both of these realities we become more comfortable with mistakes while at the same time aware that our truest self is wise, powerful and good. When we know who we are as spirit we can embody and embrace a deeper confidence.

I would like to begin today’s meditation with the affirmation:

I am filled with confidence.

Go deep inside of yourself now and feel the confidence that resides within your spirit. Your spirit is confident, your spirit is powerful, and your spirit is strong. Feel the confidence that resides within you now.

Affirm:

I am filled with confidence.

Again feel the confidence that lies within. Your spirit is infinitely wise. Your spirit is infinitely compassionate. Your spirit is infinitely powerful. You have a place of greatness within you. Feel that greatness now.

I am filled with confidence.

In addition to being spirit and powerful we are also human and learning and growing. Part of your power is your ability to learn and grow from any situation. You are spirit and you are learning. You are confident that you can learn from any situation. You are confident that you are growing. You are confident that you can handle the circumstances that life presents.

I am filled with confidence.

Connect to your spirit once again. Feel the power of your spirit. Feel the wisdom of your spirit. Feel the confidence of your spirit. At the same time embrace that you are learning. Embrace that you are evolving. Feel confident that the problems and challenges you face have come to stretch you. Feel confident that your challenges have come to make you stronger.

I am filled with confidence.

Sit in the confidence of your spirit now. Sit in the power that resides within. Sit in your greatness, the greatness of your spirit. There is a place of great confidence and power within you and as you focus on the confidence and power of your spirit it begins to come forward. For what you focus on grows.

I am filled with confidence.

This time I would like you to become aware that you have powerful guides that are working with you. We each have powerful beings of light that are working with us and aiding us in our life journey. We are never alone. Feel the presence of your spiritual guides now. These guides are available to help you in your work, in your relationships, in your spiritual development, in all aspects of your life. Open to your guides now. When you begin to consciously work with your guides you become a more powerful and confident beacon of light.

Affirm now:

I am confident that spirit is working with me to manifest what I need.

Sit in the power and confidence of your own spirit and at the same time be aware that powerful beings of light are all around you aiding you in your life journey. Feel confident that spirit is working with you to manifest what you need. Feel confident that you have spiritual support. As you focus on the spiritual support that is all around you you will have greater access to that support.

Affirm:

I am confident that spirit is working with me to manifest what I need.

Affirm:

I am filled with confidence.

I am confident in myself.

I am confident in life.

I am confident that spirit is working with me to manifest what I need.

I am filled with confidence.

Sit in your confidence now. You are confident, you are powerful, and you have a place of great wisdom within you. At the same time you are confident that you, like everyone else, are learning and growing. You are confident that situations in your life are transpiring for a reason and you are confident that you can handle the varying circumstances of your life. Problems are not bad. They come to stretch you and strengthen you. You are confident that you can rise to any occasion.

In addition, you are confident in life. You are confident that you are never alone. You are confident that powerful beings of light are working with you to manifest what you need. These beings of light want to assist you in getting your work out into the world. These beings of light want you to actualize your full potential. These beings of light want to aid you in your life journey.

Step into your confidence now. Step into your full power. Devote yourself to service and know that you will be guided. When you devote yourself to service these powerful guides will step forward even more. The guides want to serve all of humanity. Devote yourself to service and you will attract greater spiritual support.

I am filled with confidence.

I am confident that I am learning and growing.

I am confident that I am spirit.

I am confident that spirit is working with me to manifest with I need.

I Listen Deeply

“People are quick to give advice but what is truly wanted and needed is deep listening.”

I spoke with a friend last night and as I began to tell my friend a story she quickly interrupted with advice. I actually didn’t feel I needed advice and hadn’t gotten to the main point of my brief story yet. A little bit later as I told my friend about a part of my life I was struggling with she quickly jumped in with a solution to my issue. Again, I actually wasn’t looking for a quick solution. I was looking to be heard.

I meditated this morning on my conversation with my well-intended friend and in my meditation I heard this message: “People are quick to give advice but what is truly wanted and needed is deep listening. Aspire to listen deeply today. From this place of deep listening you will know when to speak and when to offer assistance. There is a quality of listening that allows the other to find their own answers. Seek this sort of listening.”

What would it be like to not give advice but instead to listen deeply. What would it be like to know that each person you come in contact with has a place of tremendous wisdom inside of them. What would it be like to learn to listen in such a way that you empower those in your life to connect with the tremendous wisdom that lies inside of themselves.

I would like to begin today’s meditation with the affirmation:

I listen deeply.
I listen deeply.
I listen deeply.

I would like you now to imagine being in a conversation with a friend or loved one. Focus now on listening very deeply.

I listen deeply.
I listen deeply.
I listen deeply.

Listen deeply to their words, listen deeply to their affect, listen deeply to their body language. Remember that this person has the answer to there own problems. Remember that this person has a place of tremendous wisdom within them. Remember that this person is capable and strong. Remember that this person wants to be heard.

What you focus on grows. As you focus on the wisdom and capacity that lies within others you help to bring these qualities forward.

I listen deeply.
I listen deeply.
I listen deeply.

When you are in a place of deep listening you will know when to speak, you will know when to offer assistance. From a place of deep listening you will know what to say and what not to say. Focus today on deeply listening to others. See how this affects the quality of your interactions.
