I am Open


I am open.

A client talked to me this morning about morning pages, a concept developed by Julia Cameron where you simply write three pages each morning.  You write whatever you feel inspired to write.  And so today I sat down with no agenda and no plan and simply allowed myself to free associate and write that which wanted to be expressed.  Since my mind seems to think in terms of guided meditations these days, this meditation is what flowed from me.  It is a guided meditation on being open and I thought I’d share it with all of you today. 

I would like to begin today’s guided meditation with the affirmation:

I am open.
I am open.
I am open.

I am open to the light.
I am open to love.
I am open to learning.
I am open to abundance.
I am open to healing.
I am open to new opportunities.
I am open to new friends.
I am open to new adventures.
I am open to new challenges.
I am open to the miraculous.
I am open to life.

I am open.

I am open to the light.
I am open to divine light.
I am open to divinity.
I am open to the divinity in myself.
I am open to the divinity in others.
I am open to the light.

I am open.

I am open to the divinity in myself and I call it forth.

I am open to divine light.

As I open to the light I bring it in.
As I open to love I bring it in.
As I open to abundance I bring it in.

I am open.

So open now.  Open to life, open to love, open to light, open to abundance.  That which you seek is waiting for you.   Learn to open so that you may receive.

Open to receive now. So many ask for that which they desire but then shut down in self -protection.  When you block you block out all of life.

I am open to abundance.
I am open to healing.
I am open to new opportunities.

I am open to the miraculous.
I am open to the miraculous.
I am open to the miraculous.

Take an area of your life now where you would like to be more open.  Practice today really opening to that which you desire.  How often do we unconsciously block that which we desire?

This time lets practice being open to the light. 

Affirm now:

I am open to the light.
I am open to the light.
I am open to the light.

Feel yourself opening to the light.  Become aware of the light that is all around you and open to this light.  As you open to the light you have greater access to this light.

I am open to the light.

I am open to the light.

This time I would like you to open to love.  There is a force of love all around you.  You are in a sea of love now.  Take a moment and open to the love that is all around you.

I am open to love.

I am open to love.

Open on deeper and deeper levels now.  Release all resistance now if even just for this meditation. 

I am open to love.

Open, open,open.  Allow yourself to open to love now.  Feel yourself opening more and more.

I am open to love.

This time I would like you to open to financial abundance.  Imagine yourself in a sea of abundance.  See the world as a place of abundance and open to this abundance now.

I am open to abundance.
I am open to abundance.
I am open to abundance.

Imagine that you are being showered with abundance now, an abundance of money, an abundance of love, and abundance of joy, an abundance of light.  Open to the abundance that is all around you.

I am open to abundance.

I am open to abundance.

Allow yourself to really open now.  How often do we block that which we desire simply because we are not open enough?

And this time I would like you to open to the miraculous.  Miracles happen every day.  Lets experiment now with opening to the miraculous

I am open to the miraculous.

I am open to the miraculous.

Many people fear being open because they feel vulnerable.  They block to protect themselves but then wind up blocking out all of life.  I have been taught that you want to stay open and allow your wisdom and clarity to protect you. 

So lets affirm now:

I am open and my clarity will protect me.
I am open and my clarity will protect me.
I am open and my clarity will protect me.

So sit in your openness and sit in your wisdom and clarity.  Be open to love.  Be open to light.  Be open to abundance.  Be open to that which is meant for you.  At the same time be wise, be thoughtful, and be clear.  Allow your clarity to be your protection.

Let today be an experiment.  What is it like to go through the day with openness?  Be open to the light.  Be open to yourself.  Be open to others.  Be open to the opinions of others and yet not overly influenced.  Be open to life today and see how this changes your experience and your manifestation.

I Let Go of the Fight

This guided meditation that I wrote was the topic of this weeks meditation class.  Thought I'd share it with everyone.  Our group meets every Thursday from 7-9:30 and is drop in.  Feel free to stop by!  

This morning I had breakfast with a friend.  I was talking about a situation I was having trouble letting go of.  She said, “It sounds like you are having trouble letting go of the fight.”  Her words echoed in my head.  She was right.  I was still fighting.  I was still wanting to be seen and be acknowledged.  Still wanting to be right.  As I became aware of what I was still holding on to, I was filled with the desire to finally let go.  I wrote this meditation to assist all of us in letting go of what ever fight we may holding on to that we are ready to be free of.

I would like to begin today’s guided meditation with the affirmation: I let go.

Affirm:

I let go.

I let go.

I let go of the fight.
I let go of the desire to be right.
I let go of the desire to be seen.
I let go of the desire to be appreciated.
I let go of the fight.

I let go.

I let go and I step into my power.
I let go and I step into my strength.
I let go and I step into my wisdom.

I let go and I appreciate myself.
I let go and I see myself.
I let go and I honor and value who I am.

Some people will see us and understand us and some people will not.  Learn to know who you are so that you are not dependant upon the validation of others.  There will always be those who understand you and others who misperceive you.  Learn to let go of your dependence on outside validation for your sense of self.

And so let go now.  Let go of the places where you are still holding.  It is time now to move on.  It is time to let go of the fight.

Be the one who understands, be the one takes the high road, be the one who loves, and be the one who is wise.  Let go of needing to be seen.  We see you.  We understand you.  Let go. Let go. Let go.  Know who you are and hold yourself to a higher standard.  Rather than trying to control others seek to gain better control of yourself.  Aspire to love, aspire to compassion, aspire to step into your wisdom.  Know who you are at the deepest level and the opinions of others will not affect you.

Remember who you are and you will not be so vulnerable to the opinions of others.  Know who you are.  Appreciate who you are.  Know that you are human and that you are learning and that you are also spirit and filled with divinity. 

We are all learning and we are all growing and we are all filled with divinity and greatness.  Step into your greatness now.  Step into your full potential.  Do not be distracted by the opinions of others.  Stay the course, work hard and offer your full contribution.  In the end this is what will matter most.

Let go of the fight now.  Let go of the struggle.  Step into your wholeness and step into your full contribution.  Strive to be the best you can be and allow others the space to find their wholeness as well.  We are all learning and we are all growing.  Seek to be compassionate towards yourself and others. 

Do not be so concerned about how others are behaving.  Work to adjust your own behavior and you shall be successful.  Stay focused on yourself, your contribution and your attainment.  You cannot control others.  The person you are here to master is yourself.  So be bold, be expressive, and be yourself.
