As I was staring intently into the candle I had a vision of a friend who has been challenging for me lately. I heard a message from my guide that this friend was very insecure and that she made herself feel better by putting others down.
I had been seeing this about my friend in a vague way but the vision and message that I received this morning was stronger and clearer than my previous awareness. I really grasped the degree of insecurity that this friend had and was able to feel compassion for her. At the same time my new awareness showed me that this was a person I needed to be cautious about spending too much time with.
As I was driving to work, I was thinking about my experience with candle gazing. Candle gazing is a remarkably powerful tool for accessing clarity and wisdom. Through focusing and concentrating on the candle flame you are able to activate your third eye which can give you insight into a number of things. I personally find it best when candle gazing to start with no agenda. In other words, simply gaze into the candle as an exercise for the third eye. Over time, however, you can ask a question and then gaze into the candle, holding your focus and concentration on the candle flame. As you stare into the candle you may receive a vision or connect with the wisdom that resides within you or the wisdom of your guides. I have made candle gazing part of my morning routine. Not only does this help strengthen my third eye, but also gives me clarity and insight into pressing issues in my life.
Candle Gazing Instructions
Listed below are the instructions for candle gazing. Again candle gazing is a technique that helps strengthen the third eye, the center of wisdom, clarity and clairvoyant sight. For best results practice daily.
1. Find a candle and place the candle on a table about 1-2 feet away from you. Light the candle and gaze steadily at the flame. Keep your mind focused and calm.
2. Gaze at the candle for 1-2 minutes and then close your eyes. You will see the image of the flame in your mind’s eye. Keep your attention on this point of light in your mind’s eye.
3. Keep this point of light in your minds eye. (You may be surprised at how long the image remains.) When it fades completely, open your eyes and look at the candle again.
4. Repeat this process three times. When the image of the light has faded continue to keep your eyes closed and hold your focus on the space where the image had been. See what colors or pictures emerge.
